Music on the Marr takes place on the Castle Carrock Marr (village green), adjacent to the Duke of Cumberland pub. The village website has lots of information about the village and surrounding area.

For those of your visting from farther a field, you may wish to fly to us. The closest airport to us is Carlsile, but currently only offer flights from London Southend, Belfast & Dublin. Newcastle, Manchester & Glasgow airports are all much bigger and will likely be of more use for our international visitors.

The closest train station is Brampton Junction, only 3.4 miles away. This would take you just over an hour to walk from, but less than 10 minutes in a taxi -see below for some local taxi firms.

Although Castle Carrock does have a bus service, it only runs once a week, and therefore won't help during the festival. Brampton is the nearest town, and has a frequent bus service - the 685. From there you could get a taxi (details below).

Go Car Share is a service designed to save both your money and the planet. Someone driving to the festival can advertise space in their car along their route, and share the cost with other who tag along.

The best way to get to Castle Carrock is by car due to the poor public transport options. If your are using a sat nav, use the post code CA8 9LU, or type in 'Castle Carrock' on Google/Apple maps.

If you live in, or can get to Brampton via public transport, you could use any of the following taxi firms for the last leg of your journey:

If the weather is fine, and you don't wish to get a taxi from Brampton you can walk - this will take aproximatly an hour and a half. We reccomend using this route if you're coming from Brampton.
