Accessibility

We are trying to make Music on the Marr as accessible as we can for people with disabilities. Our venues are all around The Marr (village green) and include the marquee, village school, St Peter’s Church and The Duke of Cumberland Inn. They are virtually next to each other with a maximum walk of 140m between the most extreme points. Wheelchair access is possible, on level grass, to the marquee, tea shop, the Casbah Coffee van and via tarmac and a ramp into the village school and The Duke of Cumberland Inn. St Peter’s church has two steps from the road and The Watson Institute has one shallow step from the marquee – and has a portable ramp – which has a solid floor. Our Stewards are happy to give any necessary assistance to get you in and out of these venues.
If we can be of any more help, please contact us.

Toilets

Disabled access toilets are available on the car park behind The Duke of Cumberland Inn 140m from the main marquee and on the camp site.

Toilets in The Watson Institute are not wheelchair accessible, but they are on the same level as the main hall and have no steps.

Access to toilets in The Duke of Cumberland is down three steps.

Parking

Car parking is on the road with an overflow car park in a field 400m from the main site on the Brampton side of the B6413. Drop off very close to the main site is easy. We will do our best to reserve a parking place on the road and as close as possible to the main site if you let us know you need it.

Camping

The camp site is 300m from The Marr along the road and then a farm track for 100m which is reasonably level and downhill for the first 25m. The site is a farm field; it has both a raised area and a level area close to the entrance. It may become difficult for wheelchairs after very wet weather. Please let us know if you want to reserve a pitch on the level area.

Hot showers are available on the campsite. They are not wheelchair accessible.

We don’t have an electrical hook up on the camp site but we will find a charging point for your electric wheelchair if you need it.
